Thanks for your interest in having a T-shirt quilt made by Heart To Hand Arts! The following information should help explain the process, but feel to ask any questions you may have!

Your t-shirts should be washed and dried (no fabric softener or drier sheets please) and in good physical condition. Stains or discolorations on the shirts will show up on your quilt. I think those “life marks” can add to the memories of the quilt, but you should be aware that they will show. Please do not cut your t-shirts – having them intact gives me more design options! In addition, if your shirts are cut too small, there may be an additional charge to reattach fabric to resize them.  I will return any whole t-shirts that cannot be used. Remnants of other fabrics will not be returned.

The sashing (strips of fabric that are sewn between the quilt blocks) will be a solid cotton fabric, in a color which will compliment your shirts. I will choose a color that I think works best. If you would like a particular color sashing, please let me know, you may give me a color sample and I will do my best to match it (extra charges apply). To indicate which side of a shirt to use please pin a note to the shirt, either or both sides. If there is a part of the shirt you don’t want me to use please state that as well.

If you would like a personalized label, such as For/To: ____and Love/From: ____, enclose a note with the information, I'll be happy to add a label for an additional 15.00.  Labels are computer generated, embroidered on fabric and attached to the back of your quilt.
